Tobacco BarnStarting at $195
A high-peaked ceiling and exposed-log crossbeams reveal the Tobacco Barn’s past life as a place for hanging tobacco leaves to dry. Now converted to a one-room guest house, it features a cozy fireplace, soapstone floors, a homey sitting area, and a tall, high-post bed. The pressed-tin ceiling and whiskey-barrel sink in the bathroom add to its charm. The front porch swing, perfect for summer evenings, offers a relaxing view of the woods and some of our other historic houses.

The tobacco barn is amazing! We loved being able to experience history while there! We walked some of the trails to see the earthworks then spent most of our time in Fredericksburg or at battlefields! It’s a perfect location to access everything by car. Also, be sure to order breakfast-it was delicious! We also were there on the hottest day yet (Feels like was 100 degrees F) and the barn stayed cool with the air!
The Tobacco Barn remains one of our favorite Airbnb’s. Charming, peaceful, great for our poodle Lucille! Jennifer was most helpful in arranging a battlefield tour for us. Our guide was terrific, well informed and wonderful at giving us the feeling of what it must have been like for the soldiers at the time. Many thanks!
The tobacco barn was a wonderful find. We’re definitely gonna be staying here again on our next trip!
