The Art of Calligraphy

Calligraphy Workshopfrom Elizabeth

The art of calligraphy has been around for centuries—and recently, it came to Stevenson Ridge!

Calligraphy first appeared with the Latin alphabet and began gaining popularity in the Roman Churches. Today, calligraphy is not used for daily purposes anymore but more for special occasions—graduation announcements, wedding initiations, diplomas, etc.

Sincerely Amy Designs and Hello Love Events hosted a calligraphy workshop at Stevenson Ridge on Sunday, February 7. Amy and Lacoya taught about 10 ladies the beautiful art of calligraphy. Guests were supplied with paper, ink, and a dip pen. Brandilynn Aines Photography stopped by and photographed these eager students working hard on their letters, and Something Borrowed delivered a beautiful floral wall backdrop plus some vintage décor for fun. Check out our Facebook page for more images from the workshop.
