Lately, we’re starting to see ceremony music get a little more modern—not in the sense of the latest songs but with movie scores and television show theme songs. Over the last year, we’ve heard during ceremonies: Star Wars, Jurassic Park, Disney’s Cinderella and Beauty & The Beast, Star Trek, and Friends (cue the hand-clapping, please). We’ve even heard themes from video games!
Surprisingly, we have not heard Game of Thrones yet, but then again, that’s a lot of betrayal and death, so maybe it doesn’t go as well with your nuptials.
It makes the ceremony more personal if the couple is a big fan of a particular movie or TV show, plus it’s a nice surprise for guests if they can “name that tune!”
What would be your three movies or TV shows used as processional or recessional music?
